Laura & James' Clock Barn Summer Wedding
Laura and James chose rural Hampshire’s Clock Barn to be the charming venue at which to celebrate their marriage and the timing couldn't have been better. It was a hot and breezy day in June and as every wedding couple would wish for, the skies were blue and the sun glorious. Judging by their engagement shoot a few months previous, I knew this easy-going bride and groom would be open to being photographed in a mix of styles. They embraced the elegant portraiture in naturally beautiful settings whilst also seizing a more contemporary approach, involving gritty industrial backdrops to juxtapose the traditional classic wedding look. The venue offered such diversity with its rustic barn features and neighbouring grassy meadows, but its hidden gem was what looked like an old abandoned aircraft hangar which turned out to serve as a strikingly cool backdrop. Having initially scoured the site and with my creative juices bubbling, I couldn't wait to get started on photographing the couple and capturing some of these amazing scenes painted with their unique memories.

Charlotte & Warren's Upwaltham Barns Summer Wedding
I first met Charlotte and Warren when I was showcasing at a wedding fair at Upwaltham Barns. They were memorable to me as we’d shared an amusing conversation about how Warren looked very much like a groom in one of my display albums! When they enquired about booking I was delighted to hear from them and excited to find out more about their wedding plans and photography hopes. Having booked Upwaltham, a familiar venue that I know and love, I already knew the couple were going to experience a beautiful summer wedding day where the picture-perfect moments would transcend the ‘look-a-like’ inspiration that first caught the couple’s eye at the wedding fair! Charlotte and Warren’s vibrant joyful personalities made their images totally unique that day and it seemed that their smiles and laughter were equally reflected on the faces of their doting guests! Whilst the barn setting was idyllic with the golden light soaking almost every shot in pure magic that day, it seemed like everything was in the right place at the right time. I actually wondered, could this couple really have asked for more?!

Lorna & Ryan's Southend Barns Spring Wedding
As established locals close to Chichester, Lorna and Ryan would have been no strangers to the abundance of beauty spots surrounding their coastal home; Chichester harbour, the glorious rolling hills of the Southdowns, and of course, the natural and unspoilt sandy beaches of West Wittering. Thus, a no-brainer choice of wedding venue for the couple was Southend Barns. This perfect countryside location close to Chichester Marina is only a short 10-minute drive from the couple’s home and boasts the convenience of being close to the historic city, also with some lovely accommodation options on the doorstep for wedding guests. One of the joys of Lorna and Ryan’s wedding day for me, was having the opportunity to capture a mixture of composed portraits and natural shots of the couple, both in the barn’s lush green manicured gardens and also whilst walking through the surrounding fields at sunset, where the light was golden and truly magical.
