In November of this year Molly and Andrew tied the knot in the beautiful location of Southend Barns in West Sussex.
The clear crisp skies offered us many opportunities that day for some dramatic photos with breathtaking backdrops whilst the interior of the barns were looking warm and inviting.
Local weddings that involve friends and family are always extra special for me to shoot, so I was delighted when Katie and Gareth asked me to be their wedding photographer for their big day in September of this year. Katie is the sister to one of my oldest and closest friends Natalie, whose wedding I also photographed back in 2008 and who since, has gone on to have two beautiful girls whose portraits I have also been privileged to shoot.
To capture the important moments not just for a couple but for the extended family is a lovely way to celebrate and help preserve those cherished connections and memories. One of the landmark moments from any wedding day is to see a father giving away his precious daughter to her groom. It’s so easy to underestimate the significance of these traditions we hold to and the role that family have in supporting the steps into our futures. Special moments like this are definitely ones to savour.
