Lauren & Richard’s Summer Wedding at Upwaltham Barns, West Sussex.
Two venues, one wonderfully relaxed summer wedding, and a day where the love seemed to grow as the celebrations unfolded. Lauren & Richard began at Edes House in Chichester, sharing their vows surrounded by their closest family and friends before heading out onto the lawn for drinks, laughter and a brilliant ‘bubble’ send-off.
A gorgeous vintage car, provided by a family friend, then whisked them away from the city and into the South Downs to Upwaltham Barns, where more guests were waiting and the summer party really began. Pimm’s, craft beer and canapés set the tone for an afternoon and evening that felt wonderfully easy-going and completely centred around family, happiness and fun.
Lauren’s favourite colour, teal, ran throughout the day, softened with pretty peach tones in the flowers and details. Against the warm brickwork of Edes House and the natural greens and golden countryside at Upwaltham, it created a fresh, colourful palette that suited their love of the outdoors perfectly.
There was so much personality to capture throughout the celebrations – relaxed moments with family and friends, creative groups, plenty of laughter during the speeches and a feast from Nibbles2Nosh, finished with a dessert bar and fabulous brownie-stack wedding cake. Then it was onto a choreographed first dance before the dance floor filled for the evening.
And amongst all that energy, we stole Lauren & Richard away for a little time together. Up on the iconic Upwaltham hill, the late summer sun dropped behind the South Downs, bathing the fields in golden light. Lauren’s veil caught the breeze and suddenly everything felt wonderfully quiet – a chance to create something atmospheric and romantic while still keeping that relaxed, outdoorsy feel that had been woven through their whole day.

Kathleen & Dave’s Wedding at Southend Barns, West Sussex.
We’re delighted to share a glimpse into Kathleen & Dave’s beautiful spring wedding at the stunning Southend Barns. Held in mid-March, their day was filled with sunshine, fresh spring air and gardens bursting into bloom, the perfect setting to begin married life together.
Their timeless palette of slate blue and elegant ivory brought such a light, fresh feel to the barns and perfectly complemented the clear blue spring skies. Every detail reflected Kathleen & Dave’s personalities, from their love of adventure and new experiences to the animals that bring them so much joy in everyday life.
Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged heartfelt vows in the Dairy Barn, made even more special by the fact that their wonderful registrar Nigel was also a family friend. The warmth and happiness throughout the day was such a joy to capture, and we loved creating artistic, relaxed images that truly reflected who they are together.
One of the highlights of the day was stepping out at sunset as the sky gifted us the most incredible golden glow. The perfect backdrop for some intimate, and fun portraits before the evening celebrations began.
Guests gathered around the fire pit with s’mores, personalised cocktails and delicious handmade sweet treats, by the incredible ‘Roots’ kitchen team, before everyone hit the dance floor and threw some incredible shapes to end the night in style.

Kymberly and Stephen’s Wedding at Upwaltham Barns, West Sussex
In the heart of October, as the hills were painted in rich autumn hues, we had the absolute pleasure of capturing Kymberly & Stephen’s beautifully autumnal wedding day at the stunning Upwaltham Barns, nestled in the colourful South Downs.
Their palette of burnt oranges, deep reds and forest greens blended effortlessly with the season and the rustic charm of the barns. These rich, warm tones flowed through the florals and décor, perfectly complementing Stephen’s forest-green three-piece suit, his best man’s look and the bridesmaids’ floor length, silk dresses.
A beautifully heartwarming moment was Kymberly’s emotional bridal reveal to her grandad, filled with love, care and connection. From there, she gracefully walked down the aisle in her fairytale lace gown with delicate autumn details, to share heartfelt vows with Stephen, surrounded by beautiful florals, setting a romantic and intimate atmosphere for all their family and friends in Upwaltham’s romantic East Barn. This beautiful theme continued in the reception barn, where laughter, love and a delicious three-course meal were followed by speeches that were equal parts touching and hilarious.
Throughout the day, the love and companionship this couple shared with each other shone through. You could see the joy in their faces as they saw each other for the first time and then became husband and wife. As the sun began to set over the downs, we wanted to capture this emotion for them against stunning autumnal backdrops, bathed in the golden light of the season. With the sun set, the dance floor warming up, and everyone celebrating the love and happiness of this wonderful pair, their special day was brought to a perfect close.
