Lauren & Dan’s Summer Wedding at Southend Barns, West Sussex
Late August brought us to the stunning Southend Barns in West Sussex, where we had the absolute joy of photographing Lauren & Dan’s unforgettable wedding day. With a beautiful colour palette of baby blue and pastel pink, perfectly accented by the bridesmaids’ elegant navy dresses, every detail was carefully chosen to reflect the couple’s style and fun-loving personalities.
Despite a little rain (well, actually quite a lot!), the weather couldn’t dampen the spirit of the day. In fact, it showered us with joyous moments from start to finish! Lauren & Dan’s personal touches were everywhere, making their guests feel part of the joy and fun this pair shares together.
After they shared their heartfelt and laughter-filled vows, the celebrations truly began. Friends and family gathered around the roaring fire pit, while the sounds of a vibrant steel band filled the air, bringing sunshine on a rainy day.
The speeches were full of hilarious anecdotes and nostalgic stories, and the atmosphere in the room was one of love, fun, and beautiful memories. Lauren had one request for us: “capture the fun” and “nothing too serious.” And that’s exactly what we did, each shot brimming with the couple’s energy, laughter, and love.

Tinks & Tim’s Summer Wedding at Southend Barns, West Sussex
At the end of July, I had the privilege of photographing Tinks & Tim’s stunning wedding day at the picturesque Southend Barns, nestled in the heart of West Sussex. Under the glorious summer sunshine, the beautiful couple exchanged their vows in the Secret Garden, creating a magical outdoor ceremony filled with love and laughter.
As the string quartet played softly on the lawn, a warm family atmosphere filled the air. Guests shared laughter, sipped on ice cold Pimms, and celebrated the newlyweds in true English countryside style.
The timeless floral colour palette of ivory bouquets fringed with soft foliage complemented the groom and his best men who wore stylish olive green suits. The fresh neutral shades tied in seamlessly with the barn’s rustic charm and lush gardens.
Tinks, thoughtfully wove personal touches into their day with a theme of pearls, from her Nan’s special necklace to her shoes, veil, and even the cake. It was a subtle yet meaningful nod to those close to her heart and showed the love she has for her family.
Before the party kicked off, we couldn’t resist sneaking off with the couple to capture some stunning sunset images as the sun dipped behind the field of wildflowers. These special moments created some truly personal portraits they’ll treasure forever.
