A Life Story in Pictures Continued...

April 02, 2015

Chapter 4.

So back in March 2014 you may remember reading all about Nikki and Glenn and their 'Life Story in Pictures'. As another chapter has developed I thought I had better keep you updated! Capturing this family's journey as it unfolds has been a delight and such a privilege to watch and share.

The story began with Nikki & Glenn's engagement which I shot locally in the winter of 2011. This was followed by their beautiful summer wedding at Stansted House in Hampshire. I then learnt several months on that they were expecting, and were keen to capture this amazing time in pictures, in anticipation of their first child being born. So that's where the story was left and we have all been wondering ever since what happened in the next chapter…

The quintessential British sign of spring...

Family portraits in the bluebell woods

You know spring is coming in England when the woodlands become flooded with a magnificent sea of bluebells dowsed by shards of bright warm sunlight. Living in beautiful West Sussex I am lucky to be spoilt with such a vast choice of beautiful woodland areas in which to photograph my littlest clients! It is one of my favourite times of year and my own little girl would agree. She thinks the bluebell woods are magical, an enchanting land of fairies and pixies and all sorts of creatures great and small! This is a place for adventure and discovery, for exploration and for the imagination to run wild! And it’s because of this childhood wonder that I absolutely love shooting portraits of little ones in such a location.

Borrowing moments from a naturally beautiful wedding day

Kirsty & Gary's Upwaltham Barns Autumn Wedding

Gary and Kirsty’s autumnal October wedding took place in the delightful village church of Boxgrove Priory in West Sussex. It was followed by a warm and rustic reception at the outstanding Upwalthaltham Barns, the perfect venue for providing a cosy and glowing atmosphere.

I had already met the couple as they came to my studio for a family portrait shoot when their son Morgan was still a tiny baby. He was such an angel and those huge eyes just captivated me!
