Laura & Josh’s Summer Wedding at The Guild Hall Chichester, West Sussex.
Set within the historic walls of Chichester, Laura & Josh’s wedding at The Guildhall in Priory Park had all the character and atmosphere of a church ceremony, but with a wonderfully relaxed summer feel. Local to their home, it was a setting that felt just right for a day centred around the people closest to them.
Soft sage greens, peachy florals and natural tones worked beautifully against the aged stone and historic architecture. Laura’s vibrant red hair brought its own fabulous splash of colour, while Josh and the boys’ tweed, green suits tied everything together with an easy, summery style.
Laura & Josh chose our Micro Wedding Coverage, keeping their photography focused around the ceremony and intimate drinks reception. This gave us time to capture the important moments; their vows, the coming together of their families, those all-important group photographs and, just as importantly, the relaxed moments in between.
After the ceremony, everyone spilled out into the sunshine of Priory Park, chatting and celebrating over a glass of champagne beneath the trees. There was something lovely about the contrast between the grandeur and history inside The Guildhall and the informal, outdoorsy atmosphere beyond its doors.
For their couple portraits, we made the most of both. The ancient stonework, arches and textures gave us wonderful opportunities to be a little more artistic, creating photographs that not only capture Laura & Josh together but also showcase the character of the place they chose to marry — including a few striking images designed to look rather special on their walls at home.
