TESTIMONIAL: “HER CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE SHOWS!”

It’s always so touching when a couple gets in touch to share their experiences with KHP. Hayley and Chris recently did just that and expressed why they chose us to photograph their special day. We loved hearing such positive words from them, but it truly was our pleasure to be able to capture their beautiful and intimate wedding day.
“Kelly's photography caught our attention from her selection of work on her Instagram. With her experience of photographing weddings at our chosen venue (HMS Warrior, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard), we were confident she'd capture our day with the warmth and energy that is conveyed in all her work online.
She made the planning process really enjoyable, engaging with all of the big ideas that we had and offering honest opinions for what would and (more crucially) wouldn't work, whilst her considerable experience shows in how she found the best shots in all conditions to enhance the moments captured. In particular, we really appreciated the organisation and effort Kelly and her team put into their preparation; we had a good amount of meetings and calls beforehand to discuss any element of the photography we wanted, and she was diligent in planning the shots we wanted taken throughout the day. A great wedding photographer is somebody who can simultaneously be central in the most personal parts of the day, yet move around without interrupting the mood to capture the natural flow between everybody; Kelly nails this, and was so great in managing the guests to get all the photos we wanted!
The highlight has been the album that was produced from all this work; to open it for the first time (and every subsequent time) really is an event, and reflects the emotion and happiness from our wedding day. Compiling the images and designs for the album with Kelly was so enjoyable, and even when it's daunting having to select a few pictures from so many great ones, she was helpful and understanding and ultimately crafted us the album we'll continue to enjoy forever.
We couldn't recommend Kelly Hearn as a wedding photographer enough, and our best man is now using her for his wedding this year!”
