Aimée & Sean’s Winter Old Thorns Wedding
Romantic. Glamorous. Christmassy. These three words perfectly summed up Aimée and Sean’s wonderful wedding day at Old Thorns set among the picturesque Hampshire landscape in the South Downs.
With Aimée’s love of Christmas, their recent reunion after Sean’s naval deployment and all of their well planned seasonal personal touches their day simply radiated with warmth and love throughout - the perfect start to the Christmas holidays!
This couple weaved creative hints into this joyful festive season through their theming, which worked in creating their dream winter wonderland vision.
Capturing the two of them together next to this traditionally decorated Christmas tree with its lustrous baubles and classic statement bows made for a picture perfect american movie style image - a fitting memory to end the story of their big day in their wedding album.
To further enhance this image and give it the ultra dreamy Christmas glow we back lit the couple throwing a crisp white light on Aimée’s stunning sequined bridal gown to highlight the bride and her showstopping look whilst representing the icy snow of this wintery scene as it meets the warm magical glow around them portraying the warmth of love between them.
DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS
Embracing all that winter can sometimes bring snow was a must on this celebratory day, and to make sure that it was delivered Aimée cleverly integrated a shower of the white fluffy stuff into their confetti line, to be thrown as they happily walked down the aisle of the venue’s Hampshire Suite together as newlyweds - all the romance without the chill!
The entrance lobby of Old Thorns was the perfect setting to capture the couple’s Christmas vibe with its high wooden beams giving a quintessentially alpine lodge feel.
This image again conjures up a classic 1950’s American Christmas holiday classic feel with the stars of the show totally rocking it around the magnificent tall Christmas tree. We gave them both a spotlight moment, as your eyes glide from the glamour of Aimée in her gorgeous furry stole and intricate lace train up to her new husband as he stands proud, beaming with joy on the stairs in his smart naval uniform.

GETTING GLAMOROUS
Their movie star looks all began that morning in the hotel’s luxurious suites as the bride and groom each readied themselves for their big moment with their star cast.
The girls had a good pampering in their customised satin robes as they glammed up in front of the Hollywood dressing room style mirrors of the bridal prep suite filling it with bubbles and giggles.
Whilst Sean and his best man paid attention to detail to make sure they looked ship shape for the momentous day ahead.
CHRISTMAS CHIC
We complemented Aimée’s striking film star look by using the strong colours of the feature wall’s glossy tiles to create a stylistic look to the image and showcase her finished, flawless look.
The shimmer of the rich blue backdrop sets off her eye-catching shimmer of red lipstick and the soft white fabric of her dress whilst adding a sense of winter cool to the image.

Capturing an image that showcased the connection between this couple was high on the brief when we met with them to plan their photography for this special day.
We feel that we have hit the nail on the head with this delicate romantic style incorporating a hint of winter magic from the twinkling lights surrounding them as they embrace under the fresh winter night’s sky.
Adding to the magic of this connection is their adorable son and ring bearer who brought a whole world of happiness to this occasion complete with his infectious cheeky smile.
We captured this moment as the couple shared a hug with their handsome boy who thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, and he was even first to the dance floor to bust out some seriously impressive moves!
Aimée and Sean also took time to make the dance floor theirs as husband and wife with faces full of love as they danced like no one was watching before their guests joined them and the party truly began. We are so happy that we were able to capture this intimate moment for them - the perfect big screen ‘happy ending’.
Aimée and Sean you certainly brought the magic of Christmas to your special day with impeccable attention to detail and the warmth of the love that you share with your friends and family.
